Using MyLevy

MyLevy helps groups in Nigeria collect dues, levies and contributions: estates, alumni sets, churches, clubs, associations and event committees. These terms apply when you use the app or the website.

Your account

You need to be able to enter an agreement in your own name. Keep your password, PIN and codes to yourself. MyLevy staff never ask for them. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.

Spaces

A space is a group on MyLevy. Its Owner and Admins decide what it collects, who belongs to it and how it spends its money. MyLevy provides the tool; it does not decide what a group charges or why, and it is not a party to disputes inside a group.

Payments and fees

Your levy settles in full to your space's own bank account. MyLevy charges a fee per payment, shown as its own line before you confirm, with the total. Your space decides whether members pay the fee or the space covers it. A card payment can add a card surcharge, also shown before you confirm.

Money moves through licensed partners. Money that arrives and cannot be matched to a payment is traced, and is not treated as a balance.

Paying ahead

Where a space allows it, you can pay for future cycles. What you are buying is shown before you pay and fixed at that moment. If the amount changes later, you may owe a top-up or be owed a credit, as shown on the screen at that time. Leaving, being removed, or a space being archived records how prepaid value was settled.

Agents

Agents help groups set up and earn a share of MyLevy's fee. They never touch your money, and nobody may charge you to become one. Agent terms apply to agents as well as these.

Leaving

You can leave a space or delete your account from the app. Deleting your account is immediate and can't be undone. Payment records are kept for legal reasons, unlinked from your profile.

Changes

When these terms change, the date on this page changes and the app marks the document as updated.
